From the original comic.A huge computer is set to test human and robots. If humans don't get a good mark, they are forced to expatriate; if robots don't get a good mark, 45 or more, they're scrapped and remodeled.
The questions are apparently simple, but the text is not about AI's QI or their efficiency: it's about their loyality!
Translation:
Atom: "???"
Test:
"Robots always have to obey humans.
❒True or ❒False."
Atom: "I did not expect this!"
Atom: "The minimum was 45!"
Kid robot: "I don't want to be destroyed!"
Atom: "And now what do I do?"
Kid robot: "I don't!"

Tanti di loro, in questa storia, sono più che semplici macchine: hanno intelligenza artificiale avanzata e sentimenti. Anche il robottino che ha preso 22 sta piangendo, sebbene senza lacrime.
Tezuka inventò la storia del test perché molti suoi lettori avevano dei problemi con dei test d'ingresso assolutamente ingiusti, con domande esattamente del tono di quelle fatte ad Atom e ai suoi compagni robot.
A nessuno importa di Atom, perché a nessuno importa del cuore delle persone. Purtroppo.

A quanto pare, era così anche negli anni in cui Tezuka disegnava Atom.
Penso che un bravo insegnante sia raro quanto una perla o un diamante.
Ma ricordi come finisce la storia? Atom vince con l'astuzia, perché anche se il computer gigante è molto potente, non ha quella intelligenza che serve per capire una persona; Atom invece capisce gli esseri umani abbastanza, da usare le loro armi contro di lui.
Le macchine in genere prendono le parole letteralmente. Le metafore sono concetti strani: io dico una cosa per intenderne un'altra. Se dico "Ungere gli ingranaggi" non intendo prendere dell'olio e spargerlo su un orologio perché funzioni meglio: sto dicendo che occorrono soldi per corrompere un funzionario.
Anche Atom fa fatica all'inizio, non capisce. Ma poi ci arriva, alla fine, mentre il computer gigante, frustrato, si danneggia e si spegne da sé.
La scuola sembra fatta tutta così, e anche il mondo in generale. Ma l'intelligenza è un'arma potente. Se trovi l'occasione, fa saltare tutto, è rivoluzionaria.

It was an unfair test, not about QI or culture or data or whatever: it was about loyality, and if your answer is not correct, you'll be sent away or scrapped and remodeled.
This is criminal, but it still happens in university tests, in middle-school tests, and I bet in all other grades too.
But Atom learned lots from humans, and if he takes too literally some expressions, he does not go crazy if he does not understand them at the first attempt. He can use this info as an advantage.
He can be "tetsuwan" and 7 powered and all, but in this case he won with his marvelous AI

Yep, but this test Atom failed was a "loyality" test, not quite a fair test. To get a good mark he should say "True" to "Robots have to obey all orders given by humans". This means even bad orders: killing a man, destroying a robot, or destroying himself.
I know that a test can be terrible. My Greek translations, in my High School, were a sequence of " 3½ / 10 "...
