This is an absolutely spectacular piece of art. The poses and expressions are nicely layed out and the details of the stones and all the changlings in the background are a nice add in to make the foreground really pop out.
What really stood out for me however, was the green wisps of fire and all the light and shadow created by them. You did an amazing job with the lighting, especially with the light source being all arround the charactors. Princess Chrysalis' glowing horn was a neat add in, also adding to the contrast of lighting.
It is also a very origional idea and layout, and for that, I was truly stunned.
as for suggestions on what to change, I have none. I think this is perfect. bravo.

First of all thank you for taking the time to give me your opinion. I'm really glad to hear that you like the way the green flames turned out. This was in a way a lighting experiment to try and achieve dynamic lighting and it is what took me the longest.

Nice scene. I'm feeling some shades of the ending of The Lion King. Of course such duel scenes are common in many movies, but the quadrapedal characters makes it stick out in my mind.

i always loved chrysalis becuase unlike all the other villains she was doing ever thing to feed her children her family and wanted to protect them from the world that hates them.
