Description The late version of the most common Italian tank of World War 2, the one that had to bear the brunt of the fighting in the North Africa campaign.
Since the M13/40 was underpowered and therefore slow (also because, to enhance protection, it was often laden with sand bags in the front), it was decided to mount an improved engine. But if this was the result, it was just ridicolous : one year of research only to come up with an engine only 20hp more powerful than the old one? Moreover, they kept the already obsolescent 47/32 mm gun, even if there was a slightly upgraded version, the Cannone da 47/40 (it would have had a minimal difference, yet better than nothing at all). So, the Italian armoured divisions had to fight the 8th Army with an already obsolete tank, with insufficient firepower and protection, and still quite slow. And against the M3 Lee and the M4 Sherman, this meant certain death, in a tank-versus-tank battle.

That face...pretty much sums up the entire point of this tank.
