Description
Continuing with my series of Photoshops in which Darth Vader is incorporated into important moments in modern history, here we see the Dark Lord assisting the soldiers at Iwo Jima in raising the American flag as a squadron of TIE Fighters patrols overhead.Some of you may recognize this piece as I submitted it to a Photoshop contest on Fark.com.

This is pretty awesome. Nice, creative manip! The only thing I would have done is age the cutout of Vader a bit to more closely match the aging of the troops and the background; Vader still looks a little out of place. Other than that, great work!

man if darth vader was at iwo jima those jap suckers would have no chance, where was the death star when you need it, all they needed to do was set the setting on the laser a little lower.

I've got to show this to my stormtrooper garrison buddies in the 501st--our garrison logo is the Iwo Jima soldiers in stormtrooper armor. ^_^

Although Vader kinda needs to be blurred s'more it looks great!
Maybe the flag could be the Imperial insignia and the soldiers could be stormtroopers?
