Bralsa était parti en Cyrodiil à Bruma, cherchant une vie plus confortable. Elle avait eu beaucoup de mal à trouver un emploi à cause de son métissage. Elle fut embauché par Paul Briel, un sang mêlé breton et nordique. Quelques années plus tards, ils se marièrent et Bralsa gardal e nom de famille de son époux.
Sofie est l'aînée, héritant de la race breton de son père, elle subit très peu la discrimination. Contrairement à sa cadette Aurore, née avec du vitiligo. Sofie et Aurore ont neuf ans d'écart.
