I keep forgetting to add my PAX 2011 photos online
My second run through of Morinth makeup was far better--I am slowly getting the hang of how her eyeshadow looks. Also, leetle freckles :3My friend is the lovely Samara, I am her psychotic daughter Morinth. The photo was taken on my camera by some nice people in line for the CrabCat costume contest.
It was far too fun to walk around PAX with people shouting "Oh my god, Samara and Morinth!" And then asking them the uncomfortable question: who did you choose? Surprisingly, a lot of people chose Morinth--a few people admitting to their critical mission failures. Shame on all of you!
...Is it weird I keep making costumes of far older characters and Mom/Daughter duos?

And...I chose Samara for my main playthrough and Morinth for my Renegade (I'm afraid Samara would hunt down my Renegade. Fighting Justicars and Reapers at the same time sounds awful).

... Holy schiese! Those are brilliant! To be utterly honest I have never had the chance to pick Morinth... must be because I always choose the good guy position... that and the fact that Morinth would kill me. But major respect to you for the costumes

I have picked Morinth once, and she creeps me out haha. I don't have the heart to kill Samara since she is one of my favorite characters from ME2...but I couldn't resist making the commando outfit and cosplaying a blue space vampire/succubus xD

I have to ask-- how did you do the amazing buckles all over your Morinth costume? And the amazing design on the grey fabric? I can't stop staring at how amazing it is.

The buckles I ordered in bulk from strapworks.com, spray painted black, then silver, then sealed it. But really the paint didn't stick the way I wanted it too so going with metal buckles is the better route. I just whip-stitched them onto the pattern pieces before I sewed up the sleeves :3
The design was made by one of my friends and we had it printed onto spandex from fabricondemand.com The proof for the design is on my photobucket in case you want to use it
