Stellar work, so many archetypal forces that provoke thoughts and associations. Your work is equal or better than Joseph Cornell's collages in my opinion.

had to do something with her enormous hat - it was either an iceberg or a giant meringue!

She looks like some kind of sea goddess.... and a slightly dark one at that. Mysterious, not to be trifled with. But with a soft spot for polar bears.

Don't we all have a soft spot for polar bears - even though they're really fierce and scary?

It's something about their slightly befuddled expressions, I think. And the enormous paddypaws. Even a goddess can't resist.

Why is she hiding under the ocean? Is it because she’s hoarding up all the fish that polar bear wants to snack on?
Beautiful work, as always Margaret. I really can’t think of any of your work that I’ve seen that is not worthy of praise!

ha. very clever!
for me, that's what a good collage has to be or should be,...clever.
of course, nailing the aesthetics is always important.
which you've done!
could be a turn of the century postcard,...
from some parallel steampunk universe.
from Jules Verne!
well,...or something like.
