Description
Altered Book spread. This book is work-in-progress ~ an alternative re-telling of the Bluebeard fairytale.
Spread 1:
Young and idealistic, she flirts with possibilities. Who will she marry? (She doesn't know, yet, that she has the choice not to marry at all, and she will not know this until she is a much older and wiser woman.) But today she is young and beautiful, and more than a little giddy, and the suitors cluster around her.
She looks like quite an assertive young woman - note the tie and the riding crop. Perhaps she will make a sensible choice. But I doubt it, somehow. Shall we warn her? Who should she pick instead?
On the other hand, if she picks the accountant, we can be pretty sure the fairytale will run out of plot twists rather rapidly. So perhaps we should just watch, and wait, and see what happens next.

The creepy one is such a hilarious touch
I don't know tho, the sugar daddy will die, the poet will burn out(passion) the creepy one will never be truly honest. But the accountant has stability and patience.

This is TOTALLY cool. I love it!
So, for those like me who don't know the story...does this collage reflect part of the story in the book it is made on?

Not really. Bluebeard is a gruesome fairytale, where a young girl marries a seriously creepy nobleman, and discovers terrifying things about him. I have always been fascinated by the story, but I thought I would give it a twist, and give her the choice to marry someone else!

I just noticed that The Creepy One has a seiously silly hat!
Have to agree with Weedlace - the accountant is probably the best of the bunch...

At first the only label I noticed was "the creepy one" which gave me a chuckle... And it suits him because my eyes went straight to him and stayed there. Sticks out like a sore thumb.
I second that she looks like an independent type. Her manner of dress is masculine and she carries a riding crop. She looks like she is commanding respect while standing in the front with the men watching the race track horses. Every man, friend, and day brings new possibilities and adventure.

Oh my. Oh my oh my. Where on Earth are you going with this? Only time will tell, I suppose -- I'm making a note to listen.

Where should I go with this? The bluebeard story has its own inevitable messy ending, but I'm tempted to quirk it up!

Her hairstyle tells me she is the independent type. But she appears to be charmed by the accountant. Don't write him off so quickly! His togs are quite fashionable--reference the nipped waist of his coat. He also is the only gent to sport a flower, and a pink carnation at that! Were she older and more experienced, his smug look might be a complete turn-off, but I don't see that wisdom in her yet. I suspect she is susceptible to charm!
