More playing with Mandelbulb. Sort of beginning to get it, I think... I followed this tutorial here: fav.me/d86vjsa which really helped!Shadows look a bit weird, might be because of my rather poor lighting skills.

The famous bulbs
I always share the parameters of my MB3D works, maybe it can help.
For shadows I always use "Soft H.S." (radius 2E0 or 3E0). Ambient Shadows SSAO15,SSAO24,SSAO24r (treshold to 0 if holes are too dark or if it looks strange), DEAO (no dithering, first random step checked).
