A beautiful piece. Especially like the bushy tail - no wonder many do! - and the forest of whiskers, and as a reenactor I am pleased to see "trigger discipline" on the bow, keeping the arrow nocked but undrawn.
If something comes off as odd, it would be that I am not entirely sure from where the bright light under the proper right arm comes - but overall, can tell immediately that your knowledge of lighting is superior to my own, so there is probably an explanation of which I am unaware.
Again, a very fine piece, and quite a surprise: From the thumbnail I expected Redwall, a series I am only familiar with in passing, but apparently not. You learn something new every day.

Hey, thank you for the insightful critique! I am unfortunately quite prone to messing up trigger discipline in pictures when characters have rifles for some reason, but I'm glad I got the bow and arrow right, ha ha.
Hmmm, would that be the light on the bow under the arm, or the bit of highlight underneath the arm? Because the highlight I think is just part of the original penciling that I didn't darken properly. The shine on the bow was intentional, but I felt like I over-did it a bit. Might have made a better impression if it wasn't as bright. Good catch in either case!
Ahhhh, Redwall is what got me into drawing. If you liked it though, Beyond the Western Deep is a good one, and a much quicker, easier read, given it's a web comic. I'd also recommend Mouseguard, which is also quite similar to both. I just learned about both of those this year - never know what you're going to come across anymore.

That would be the light under the arm, and that would explain it. Didn't think much of the shine on the bow since European bows have a very reflective front by design, and while it is bright it doesn't distract - but in the end, you are the one arbiter of that.
Will have to check those once I find the time. Read Kevin & Kell from the beginning, so doubt the reading is going to be tougher, but thanks for the warning.

Yeah I just know some people aren't into the bigger-sized books like Redwall. Beyond the Western Deep and Mouseguard are just a lot easier to keep up with if long bouts of reading aren't preferred. The former gets updated weekly on Saturdays.

Phenomenal! The tail looks so real..!
The whole character does, actually.. but the tail fluff really stands out to me.

Thank you, glad you like it! Looks like I'll have to do more characters with fluffy tails.

Excellent depiction of Quinlan, and I agree that the tail shows a great amount of detail.

Thanks, Mulchior! Admittedly I didn't stop to consider whether he is right or left-handed, but for the sake of excusing myself he is now ambidextrous.

The tail was definitely time-consuming, but hands and feet are what usually kill me.
