  When you woke up, nothing felt right. You had a terrible headache, and for some reason you had a metallic taste in your mouth. On top of that you seem to feel extra cold, which was weird because apparently you are in a tent. You sat up, and you began to cough. As you pulled your hand away and you saw just a little bit of blood.

                “Oh, good, you’re awake.” Slenderman says “Good, get dressed and come on out. I’m making you uh…what is this stuff you call it, uh… bacon?” Even though he said it was bacon, it actually smelled like… hot plastic. It didn’t matter because bacon wasn’t what was on your mind, and it certainly wasn’t the piece of which you wanted to give him. You got dressed in the clothes that were laid out for you in the tent, which consisted of a (fav/ color) long-sleeve shirt, a thick brown jacket, a pair of jeans and some sneakers. You walked outside the tent and saw that Slenderman apparently does not know how to cook bacon.

                “I’m surprised you humans would actually want to eat something that smells like this.” He was sitting on a log and apparently trying to roast it over the fire, with a stick stuck through it, while it’s still in the package… you wanted to laugh except you were still mad at him. You walked over and proceeded to take the bacon-shish-kebab out of his hand and toss it in the tent. You turned around to slap him, but he already stood up and caught your wrist. You tried to punch him with the other but he caught that too.

                “Well if you don’t like my kochen then perhaps you could teach me how to do it better…” he says. You looked up at him, and you jerked your hands away.

                “You know damn well that’s not why I’m mad! What were those things, who were they working for, and what in the hell made you think that leaving me behind while I was out-numbered was a good idea?!”

                “They’re ghouls.”

                “…Ghouls?”

                “Yes. Ghouls, and they were working for my brother.”

                “Yet you thought it would be a good idea to leave me behind with six of those things?”

                “I didn’t have any other choice, ________. If they’re His ghouls then my brother can’t be far behind. He controls them. Ghouls are strong, but he is much stronger. While I may be stronger than he is, 2 against 7 would definitely leave us out numbered than against just Splendorman and I. Besides, you seemed to handle yourself quite nicely.” He explained, but his explanation just seemed to make you madder.

                “Why the hell would he still want to go after me?” you asked. He sat down and seemed to look just a little worried.

                “I’m not entirely sure… he could just be wanting something a little… different than what he’s been having, or he could just be wanting to play a game of chase…” It seemed like when he said that there might have been another idea, but you figured that if he didn’t want to say it then it was probably best.

                “As if doing magic tricks wasn’t entertainment enough…” you mummer to yourself.

                “Either way, for right now you are safe. Now then, are you hungry?” he asked in a more cheery tone. You didn’t actually have to answer though, because your stomach seemed to do it for you.

                “Well, yes, but why don’t I cook it this time?” you offer. As you were walking over to the tent, you started to feel very weak, and ended up of your knees. You started to cough a little more as you went down.

                “Whatever kind of power you used three days ago seems to have made you weak. Let me handle the kochen.” He says as you watch a tentacle goes in the tent and grabs the skewered bacon, while the other picks you up and sits you right next to him. You assume that ‘kochen’ means ‘cooking’. Anyway, you’ve been out for three days?!... You should remind yourself to never use… whatever kind of fire you used unless it’s an emergency.

                “And before you start, yes, I do know how to cook bacon. I’m over 400 years old, and I didn’t live under a rock for each one of those years.” He says as you watch another tentacle go through a pile of stuff, and pick up a skillet.

                “Where did you get all this stuff anyway, Slendy?” you asked him. He looked at you a little weird that seemed a little darkly before he said,

                “I knew a few people.”…a chill ran through your spine as he said that. You have a feeling you know exactly what he did… but you didn’t want to believe it.

                He cooked the bacon perfectly, and it tasted wonderful. Your stomach is completely full on bacon and water, which he seemed to have a good supply of. It was actually kinda weird that the bacon didn’t cook very much in the package while he was holding it over the fire. You guess he wasn’t holding it over the fire for very long

                “OK, so if you knew how to cook bacon, then why did you have it on a stick and over a fire when I woke up?” He laughed just a little as you asked that.

                “You were mad, which was obvious, and you humans seem to ease up with a little at humor. Acting like I didn’t know how to do something while trying to do it always seems to work.” Slendy replied. You were also about to ask how he knew that, but then you remembered he’s been around for way longer than you have, so you decided the answer was the obvious one: he tried it out. That was probably the same reason why he knows how to cook bacon too.

                “Ok, makes sense. That probably would have worked too, had I not been so pissed.” You said.

                “Now then, I have a question.”

                “Alright.” He turned your arm over to show the symbol. It was very faded, and you were a little surprised it was still there.

                “How did you come across that symbol?” he asks you.

                “Do you remember when you first saw me back at the Metro park-n-ride?”

                “Yes, I do.”

                “I was going back and forth all week to a college. I made some friends there. When I got all those drawings that were on my arms and my face, we were also playing a game called ‘Slender.’”

                “And I’m guessing that would be a game about me?” he says, seeming a bit annoyed.

                “You’re not wrong. I kept playing that game on the computer and I was just messing around on it. Every time you found me I was either running from you or trying to give you a hug, and everyone was watching. I think when my friends were drawing stuff on me, one of them decided to put this symbol on my arm.”

                “Ok… what was the idea of the game?”

                “You were in a forest with nothing but a flashlight. You’re supposed to walk around the forest and find eight pages that say something about, well, you. Each time you found a page, the game would get harder because he, or you, would get closer and closer to catching you.”

                “And what would happen if you found all eight pages?”

                “Well, he still catches you. It’s a horror game, so I’m not surprised the ending isn’t a happy one.”

                “I see…” he says.

                For the rest of the say you just kind of cataloged some of the stuff that Slenderman had. There was a few cooking utensils, some camping dishes like mugs and plates, some blankets, a good supply of food (which should stay fresh in the cold of the mountain.), and a foldable hunting knife. You decided to keep the hunting knife in your coat pocket, just in case Slendy decided to leave you in a fight again. Night time came around, and you decided that It was time to go to bed. The tent was large enough to hold the both of you, even though Slenderman was about 10 feet tall. You lay down and cover up in the blanket, while Slenderman laid right next to you. He had a blanket of his own, but it was a little thinner. You offered him yours in exchange but he replied,

                “I’ll be fine, ______. Just fall asleep.” He put a hand on your cheek and you immediately relaxed.
