Chapter 5

You slide off the dog and walk over to Laughing Jack, who was getting a plate of food. He looked down and smiled "Hey, I see you made it!" You nod nervously and look around. Jack giggles and picks you up, setting his plate of food aside as he grabs another plate. "What do you want sweetie?" he asks. You look at all the food and point at a few different things. Laughing Jack nodded and set up your plate. He then set you on the floor and handed your plate to you. "There are plenty of extra seats, try and find one that's comfortable with you." He said, laughter once again twisting into his words as he sets a piece of candy on your plate.

You nod and walk towards the table, feeling like a rabbit in a pack of wolves. Eventually you end up finding a seat next to Eyeless Jack. He tilts his head a little in what you assume was a smile as he sits your plate on the table. You take a minute to climb onto the chair, actually having to climb since the chairs are meant for adults and beasts. You hear Eyeless giggle from behind his mask as you have to almost stand on the chair to eat. You take notice that most people, once everyone was sitting down, started arguing and throwing
silverware at each other.

Particularly knives.

You ignored most of it since worse things used to happen back at your abusive home. You finish eating rather quickly and look around trying to match names with people. Suddenly your eyes fell on another little girl. You slipped out of your chair and scurried around the table to the girl. She looked down at you and smiled, her green eyes showing a playful attitude. "Hi! My name is Sally! You must be (y/n)!" She says, slipping out of her seat, apparently done eating too. You nod and giggle "There's so many people here!" "You'll get used to it eventually, I was surprised too when I first came here." Sally says. "Wanna play?"

After about three hours of running around the house and playing hide and seek, Slenderman came and collected you two. But not without a fight. You and Sally split up and ran through the hallways, giggling and squeaking when Slenderman appeared in front of you. Eventually, Slenderman had called in what you can only assume was someone related to him. The tall being had a polka dot suit and a very happy expression. The being easily snatched you up and carried you to a room. "As much as I don't want to ruin your fun, Brother wants you and Sally to go to bed." You giggle and nod as you are taken to a room near the end of the second floor hallway. The tall being sets you down and pats your head. "I'm Splendorman by the way. Goodnight (y/n)." The man says as he closes the door and walks off.

When he walks away, you suddenly feel alone. Everyone was either asleep or in their rooms. You turn to look to your room, not surprised by the blank walls and blank white bed. You press your back against the cold door and softly cry. You felt so alone now, in this room that felt beyond foreign. You sit there, for what seemed like hours, crying and letting out all of the built up tears. The tears from the murder of your brother, the tears from your abusive parents long ago, the tears from this new, scary place. The tears, from your loneliness.

Eventually you pull yourself together and get up, you grab a pillow and a small blanket that was sitting on the chair, and you walk out of the room. You drag your things down the hallway as you look for any room that would hold someone that wouldn't judge you. You walk down the halls, new tears streaming down your face. After a while you come to a door. You knock and after a bit of shuffling that came from inside the room, you hear the door unlock and open. You look up at Hoodie, tears dripping from your face onto the floor. Masky came over too after a few minutes and kneeled down with Hoodie. They looked at each other, and then back at you. "Can't sleep?" Hoodie asked. You nodded weakly. Hoodie stepped aside and let you in. You shuffled past the two men and crawled into the massive bed that you presumed they shared. Once you climbed in, the two men climbed in too. You snuggled into the blankets and wiped your tears away, falling asleep relatively easily now that you weren't alone.
