More canon MLP stuff, except it ain't about the ponies!Never before has the result of mashing up different parts of mythical creatures into one character been so fiendishly delightful to appreciate--in a typically sugary show made primarily for families that includes young kids as the audience, at that!
Hoooo boy I'm actually anxious to know how the next episode turns out.
Discord belongs to the MLP franchise by Hasbro.

In many ways I think Discord was the perfect My Little Pony villain.
Now before anyone asks, it doesn't mean that I think Nightmare Moon was a bad villain. Far from it. But let's be honest, she was very basic in her approach towards the heroines. She would throw lightning bolts, enrage manticores and directly attack them herself.
Discord on the other hand is almost the polar opposite of Nightmare. While she was a serious personality with very direct means of dealing with her enemies, Discord's personality was far more aloof and jovial.
However, when HE faced the ponies, he attacked them in a way that was deeper, more personal and far more damaging to them as characters. He corrupted the most precious personality traits that made them who they were and turned this group, these best of friends, against one another.
That's what makes him a perfect villain for this series in my eyes. The message of the show is how important friends and friendship is. And Discord's whole purpose throughout his two episodes was to poison that friendship and turn it in upon itself. He is the absolute antithesis of the message of the series.
But while that made him a great villain for the series, it's also why I absolutely, positively DESPISE him. I did not enjoy a single moment he was on-screen. The heartbreaking moments he causes in those two episodes and the friendships he destroys have secured him a place in my personal "characters I'll never like" list. But then kudos to the writers for creating a genuinely despicable antagonist.

Discord didn't get enough screentime before he was resealed again. But since he was only re-captured, I'm hoping he makes a return sometime in season 3. *crosses fingers* Still, wonderful work! You really captured his look perfectly~

The colouring is fantastic, and I love the texture on his body. The swirly background reminds me of those old Wario ads: "Obey Wario...DESTROY MARIO!"
