The 200th review is a GODZILLA MOVIE! YAAAYYY! Also contains footage flagged by Toho.
Check out the new review. Oh man this titlecard was one that I feel was way too much for me. I had a simple groupshot idea and thought it'd be simple, but oh boy was I wrong. The challenge was that I've never drawn much Kaijus and that I had to squish so many monsters from the film into this card. The hardest Kaiju just to get right was Godzilla himself. I wanted to make sure there was a balance of my silly style and an intimidating look to him (hopefully I succeeded
). Out of all these Kaijus, I'd say I liked the way I drew Mothra the best with those pink cheeks lol.Overall I feel honored to do the 200th titlecard AND doing one for a Godzilla movie

My one issue is Godzilla's eye color. Besides that, I like it a lot.

What's his eye color? This is one of the few times I've ever drawn Godzilla (and most likely I'll end up drawing him more in the future). Most pictures I looked up just had his eyes be dark.

The Final Wars Godzilla, in particular, has fiery red eyes. But they only show I think 3 times in the whole movie, so it can be hard to tell. The eye color doesn't make your art any less great, it's just my Godzilla OCD kicking in.

Amazing job on all the variety of those classic monsters, as well as putting your own artistic stamp on each one. This is definitely one of your most impressive pics to date, so excellent job all around here.

Putting my "artistic stamp" as you say was pretty tough since I don't draw Kaijus often. TBH the most easiest one to draw was actually Hedorah since goopy blobs are easier to draw than reptiles lolΒ

I am surprised that old Hedorah made the cut, considering he is literally a "blink and you miss it" type of character in the film

Now that you point it out, Hedorah most likely had less than a minute on screen
I didn't even plan putting buildings in the background and just leave the BG blue. And then I put them there because I wanted a subtle "explosion" since all these characters look like they're doing a WWE entrance lol.

Now that you mention it, it does sort of look like that with the background. It was a smart choice though. Makes the forefront pop. Can't wait to see how old Guilala is going to be used in that new card that Brandon posted a "peek" at.
