I really like the idea of it's head being retracted into it's body for the design of a middle evolution. Aside from it's pokedex entry it reminds me of how maybe Snarmor is cautious and prefers to wait for enemies to attack before lashing out with it's (possibly) long neck? However I think it should maybe be crawling on all fours. In my opinion it just looks kinda silly with a gaunt looking body accompanied with the complete lack of visible neck. The design would just sell to me more if maybe it's arms and legs were a little stubbier? aside from it's head it almost completely resembles it's final form. Just could've taken a more creative turn in my opinion.
