Description: A Pokémon with a gentle nature, Multilin will help just about anyone. Multilin can produce practically any sound from the holes on its arms, though the sound is typically music.
Folklore: Once upon a time, a village was swarmed with Rattata, and the elders pleaded with a Multilin to use its magical melody to remove the Rattata. The Multilin was able to remove most, but it wasn't able to remove them all, so it was banished from the lands by the elders. Many years later, a few children ran away from the village, and most of the townsfolk believed that the banished Multilin kidnapped them with its mesmerizing melody. Some of the children came back home, and instead of confessing that they tried to run away, they pointed fingers at the Multilin. However, Multilin was never seen around the village again. As the centuries went by, the childrens story became popular, which obscured the reputation of Multilin. Besides old story books, Multilin has never been officially sighted, and is now believed to be nothing more than a myth.

This is my entry for the folklore contest here:
It is based on the Pied Piper of Hamelin. I slightly changed the story to fit into the Pokémon world. This one was a pain to design. I kept on changing its design while I was drawing up the lineart. I don't really think I can win, since I know many other good artists will probably be joining the contest as well, but I did see this as a great opportunity to practice on drawing more complicated Fakemon. It was fun to draw, but hard as well, and I think I learned a thing or two from it as well, so I'm happy. I also plan on adding Multilin to my own region, since I like its design.

ah, splendid design, loving the wide array of contrasting colors on it, and the way its arms are instruments is so cool.

Have more faith in yourself! The design is creative and colorful and I also like how you incorparated the folklore into the pokemon world, unlike some of the other contestants. Overall I think you did a great job, good luck in the contest!
(And I'm also entering the contest and I was also going to incorparate the folklore of my entry into the pokemon world before I saw this too, so don't think that I'm copying you when/if you see my entry >.>, just thought I should put that out there...)

Thanks, I'm glad that you like it. Don't worry, I won't think that you copied me. I actually thought a lot more people would adapt the folklore to fit in the Pokémon world. It just seemed like something a lot of people would like to do.
