Description Budapest (Hungary, Europe) in the evening, preparing for St. Stephen's Day fireworks. The river down there is the Danube and the bridges that connect the two cities (as Buda and Pest were united in 1873 to form Budapest) are major landmarks of my homeland. But there are many other landmarks here, starting with the Parliament and the St. Stephen's Basilica on the left, and Statue of Liberty, the Citadel, the Buda Castle and the Fishermen's Bastion with the Matthias Church on the right—and many more. The wight "arch" at one o'clock form the Parliament is the Sziget Eye (a Ferris-wheel at Deák tér). The pink thing at the center is the MUPA (Palace of Arts) and the National Theater right on its left. Red pylons are of Rákóczi Bridge (née Lágymányosi Bridge), the newest road bridge within the city. (Two newer bridges are built as the part of the ring road M0 motorway, but they are further off the downtown. The Northern one is Megyeri Bridge, that also serves as a landmark with its 100 meters tall pylons.)

Title refers to Simon and Garfunkel's song and bears a message to Her whom I never called Silvergirl before... But Danube is troubled enough I guess

Paid download includes the full 6000×3000 px unsigned version along with fullHD wallpaper version. Prints are available without watermark here on DA. This version is watermarked and cloaked, please don't nick it.

is a test for creating composite images that I never tried yet and features the fireworks itself. But I mainly consider it as a test manip and I am glad if you tell me your opinion or give hints how to do it better.

(For English speakers: I gave a try to make a HDR version but the tones weren't rich enough to compensate the graininess of microcontrast enhancement. I keep trying on.)

Úgy gondolom, hogy nem lesz könnyű munka.
