Description

Water balloons are fun. The thin latex skin filled with a good amount of water is always a good chance of getting really wet. Especially when poor balloon is tightened to a rope and somebody launches arrows on it.

Well, exactly that happened though the workshop theme was "macro photography". My friend and mentor Sándor Vadász had some balloons and also water. He also had all the necessary items like thin rope, a stand, an empty garage blocked with some foam arrow catchers and a good, strong reflex bow that he can even manage, too. Count three and pray—and push that expo button like a hell!
So, this is the story behind this exploding water balloon. We intentionally killed it shooting with arrows and cameras!

This image was taken during a macro photography workshop at Sándor Vadász's studio. Vadász also builds the lovely and very handy VDS field cameras from 5×4" to over 16×20" (on demand; 8×10" is the common but special banquet and square formats and ULF are also available on request).
