Oh, yes, this is my friend and favoured model, Ildi, traveling back to the 80s… Taken with a Mamiya. Oh, you may need some more explanation about the circumstances. Let's see…

The "panels" (prefab habitats) were built some ten years before and the trees started to take tree-like shape and the Beast, a.k.a Mamiya RB67ProSD was a dream. There was a photo store near the secondary school I attended to, and it was very privileged because it sold cameras for the top pro artists that you couldn't see any other shop then. There were Hasselblads and Rolleicords and Mamiyas and Yashicas and Pentaxes and Contaxes and even Leicas alongside the usual Eastern Pentacon Sixes and Practicas and the more affordable Zenit and Smena cameras. I often stopped at the shop window and dreamed big about possess a Hasselblad or at least a Mamiya—the price of those cameras were around a price of a hardly accessible car…

I still don't have any Hasselblads or Rolleicords but I am happy owner of a Mamiya RB67ProSD and a Yashica MAT 124G And this picture has been taken with the Beast, e.g. the Mamiya, with a Mamiya Secor C 127mm lens and a 700nm infrared filter, to a Rollei Infrared 400 stock—the 80s tech in the 80s moodscape And yes, our people was this shiny happy then, because otherwise you could be meet some uncomfortable questions from dangerously malvolent police people and got into serious trouble… as quite lot of people did. If you're a time traveler, Hungary in the 80s is a nice place to visit but not to live.
