Description
Okay, you had a four of aces, so what? The glass is empty, the candle is almost burnt... Will you understand your guide to Paradise? The book is Dante Alighieri's Divina Commedia in a special edition. The Hungarian translation by Mihály Babits is admired as better than original masterpiece. The publisher was the once famed Révai, a leading publishing house in Hungary, primarily known for their high quality books and art support. The twin page opened are title pages of the third part, the Paradise. Note the finely cut art deco style typography with its avant guarde spacing that denies the rules of third, etc., and try to find new niché for art. The fine India paper reveals the graphics of the previous page—doesn't really help to read but very delicate at that time.
So, here is your guide to Paradise, and forget about your four aces and empty glass.

Thank you very much! A wonderful piece of literature, may I add. Dante is very hard to read but I had the chance to read it after several studies on that era and it was a great experience.
It is also a great experience to playing cards and sipping fine red wines in a good company, I have to confess. Just for the records.

yeah. So much of understanding and appreciating pieces from that era (or *any* era really) is knowing some of the context from which they were written.
Oh, and I may not be much of a card player, but I'll take up on that sipping of fine red wine at any time...

Fine wine is an art in itself, and enjoying a good red wine in a good company is one of the purest form of art acceptance, I think. I paced the cards as "Devil's Bible" (as it is said in my areas) an opposite of a book about Paradise, but playing for company's sake and not for money is fine for me...
I tried to reply 2 days ago, and that reply was a bit more witty and concerned, but dA had some troubles to accept'em.

Heh... I've lost more than a few witty replies to either dA's quirks, or my own confusion losing track of a browser tab or hitting a back button!
Well, here's to fine wine, friendships and enjoying them both over art!

Tetszik a kép Nem az a szokványos. Mármint nem a Pokol van rajta bemutatva hanem a Paradicsom amit valljuk be kevesen ismernek (bevallom énsem nagyon)

Én a múltkor a zöldségesnél láttam
Azért az sem lehet véletlen, hogy a Paradicsom a legrövidebb része a Commediá-nak Egyrészt a korról is elég érdekes jellemzés, másrészt alátámasztja Voltaire-t aki szerint a mennyországban hiába jó a klíma és szép a környék, a pokolban mégiscsak jobb a társaság
De nem ragozom, hadd maradjon megfejteni való a látogatóknak is

Egyszerű: megveszed most, és lefényképezed 80 év múlva

Igen bár a B tervvel sem lenen gond. Suliban versenyfutókat is leelőztem egyszer
