Description GOOD GOD it took me forever to finish this picture. UGH. well, it seems like everybody asks me how to color, so here's .. pretty much how I color. I hope it's helpful in the slightest. Full view to see the tutorial, natch.

Color is all done in openCanvas 2.24E. my openCanvas sketch-ink tutorial is here if you wanna know how the lines came about. finished image is here !

i have one question in the process for the open canvas program (I use photoshop). It says "clicking on the resulting "mix" of pixels" is that a tool in open canvas that gives the mid-tones between dark and light colors

This is one of the greatest Open Canvas tutorials I've ever seen. You actually go through each step and show how you do it -- which is such a refeshing change from "First I sketched this!!! Then I put some color on it and omg! I PUT SHINIES AND THERE ALL DONE!!!" And they get like...300 favs. -___-

I think I just like watching the process. I'll do my best to use your advice! I have to agree, though, that complimentary colors are key. I always knew you put a whole bunch of color into your art, but I never realized quite how you managed to pull it off so smoothly thank you!
