I went to the cat shelter last Friday, took a LOT of pictures and when I loaded them on my computer I found this little guy watching at me
He looks so cute and a little desperate and for some reason he reminds me of Puss in Boots from Shreck
Merlin is such a lovely cat and has incredible funny ears. They are smaller than other cat ears and they are flopped. I think he has good chances to find a very lovely home soon! And he so deserves it because he had some horrible experiences in the past. He was found abandoned in a plastic container outside. The container must have stood for days outside in the pouring rain. Luckily someone found this poor little guy! Humans can be so cruel 
But now at the cat shelter he becomes better every day and he is extremely thankful for the loving care he gets day by day!-

Das haben meine Betreuer von der KHO und zuvor auch schon die Mannschaft der Tierklinik und der Tierrettung mich sagen hören können, wenn sie genau hingehört haben!
Denn ich kam über die Tierrettung – man hatte mich im Regen in meinem Transportcontainer aufgefunden. Offensichtlich war ich ausgesetzt worden – man wollte mich wohl nicht mehr.
In der Klinik erwartete mich, wie alle Tiere, die bei der KHO einchecken, zunächst mal „das volle Programm“. Ihr wisst nicht so genau, was das ist? Kein Problem, ich erkläre es Euch: Zunächst mal wurde geschaut, ob mit mir alles in Ordnung ist, standardmäßig wurde ich „entfloht“ und „entwurmt“. Das Ergebnis: Mit mir war alles in vollkommener Ordnung!
Und nicht nur das: Wie Ihr sehen könnt, kann ich wohl behaupten, dass ich ein Traum von einem rot-weiß-getigerten Cartoon-Kater bin! Das zumindest sagen hier alle über mich! Ich bin unheimlich verschmust und verspielt und freue mich sehr, wenn ich das auch bald in meinem neuen Zuhause beweisen darf!
Gibst Du mir vielleicht die Möglichkeit dazu?
Falls „ja“, dann frag doch bei Frau Stein oder Frau Schiffer ganz gezielt nach MERLIN!!!

do you take pictures for the shelter to help adopt them out? or just good photograph practice? cause I think you would be good at getting word out about certain cats. in your area or something. host one a week or something? lol this is a lovely picture.

Merlin is what is called a Scottish Fold! Wonderful kitty capture! What happened to him is just awful. I have worked with cats for years and his story is all to common. My Boo who passed in September, I found taped shut in a box...he was 3 weeks old. I am just happy Merlin now has a chance for a loving forever home.

Aw it must make you sad knowing your fluffy feline friend is gone I don't know what I'd do without my tiger(no not a real tiger but a cat named tiger)she's always been there for me to curl up next to when I'm sad and she always wants to be petted I'd probably cry if I lost her well hopefully you fine another pet to love like your boo

such a wonderful picture. I too adopted a ginger cat, and he's been a real charmer; he's extremely smart and amazingly very attached to humans. His loving nature is so commendable that I already had 3 friends who literally asked to have him. hahaha.

I have to agree; he does look like Puss! It might be his coloring...or those huge eyes. Either way, he looks so adorable with that expression on his face. With a face like that, I don't doubt he'll find a loving home soon~

Its hard to breed folded eared cats. Even if both parents have folded ears, only one cub in four cubs will have and show fold gene. Other three cub will have standard ears.. That makes him a purebred. He was a house cat i guess..
Poor guy. If i were living in germany and i wasnt already have 3 male cats, I would surely adopt him!

He's prob has Scottish Fold in him. They are a breed with folded ears and round faces.

He does make me think of a Scottish Fold breed of cat, with the folded ears. I hope such a loveable ball of sunlight can brighten someone's
