Description
Poor little Gino...Working on cat shelters is not only cute. Here is an example for human cruelty: Gino was struck by a car and the driver drove on and let him on the street. There he was laying in pain. He had no change to survive, cause his legs were broken and he had wounds...
But he had a lot of luck: A nice human found him and brought him to the cat-aid-organisation and they brought him to the vet, paid for the expensive operations and spend the time for caring for him... It tooks about 3 weeks till he was able to walk again but he managed it
To the picture: It is not my best work, but I want to show the opposite of my cats! The "collar" around Ginos neck was necessary to prevent licking on his legs and wounds, cause that would lead to an infection and that would be VERY bad, so he had to learn to live with that thing till the danger is over...
All in all you can say that Gino becomes not to a cat with 8 lives but he is well, found a new home where he is loved

Hehe, thanks. I view pee in a pool the same way I view cigarette smoke. They both have the capacity to make me sick.

aww, poor thing. Not able to clean is pure torture for them. My Tom was run by car, and he has problem with breathing. I just cannot understand people.

Yes, I agree it is a real horror for a cat with that collar... but itΒ΄s the only choice...
And I agree again, I can not understand some people, too...

All I can say is that mean people suck! I am so glad that Gino will be OK, and that he has found a new home where he will be properly loved. Actions like this make my heart hurt so.

Oh what a little sweetheart... One of my adopted cats is missing an eye because she was so sick in the shelter as a kitten. I'm glad that we can have her to love, and glad that this boy is loved too

Oh, I can look at him that much. I'm really sensitive, regarding animals in need. I could cry, and I do, in a sec...
Anyway, to those who saved any animal.
And to you *hoschie, shot is great, really emphasises this cats beautiful head

You are very welcome!
I adopted my Beautiful Mojca, just few months ago. I found her in front of my building...and it was love at first sight
And, I already have Nimfa parrot (spellcheck?!), but they get along really good. Also, I feed about 15 cats in my neighborhood roud:
As you may already know, I live in Sarajevo, we don't have a REAL animal rescue, nor a shelter. There is only one shelter in a smaller city of Bosnia called Tuzla. But they are just too small still. I'm trying to open the same shelter in Sarajevo, with my friends. So keep your fingers crossed!

Thank you so much for your comment! IΒ΄m ALWAYS glad to hear that people start to help animals. In most cases it is just a drop of water on a hot plate, but it IS a drop! Keep on trying and IΒ΄ve got all my fingers crossed and when I go to the cat-aid organisation I bet all the kitten to cross their claws, too

Ive worked on/with animal cruelty cases before..not only for animal control but also when i worked in a Animal Hospital. So, ive seen these same things happened before. Its amazing how animals can go through such horrible ordeals brought on by cruel humans..and still have trust and love towards us. I'm glad someone stopped & help this sweetie out & that hes found a loving & very caring home..for which he deserves! Thank you for sharing this

I found a cat like that. Though he was unable to be saved. Broke his back. Only plus! Was he could not feel anything. He was purring and all happy someone came by. Vett was surprised he was still alive when I brought him in.
This reminded me of that time. Glad this one made it home
