So, I saw *Zombiesmile 's "Fantard Meme" awhile back and just had to do it, because Lordy Lou I've gotten some weird comparisons in my time on DA. Let's look at the Evidence, shall we?
Dr. Ryan > Faust VIII (Shaman King) So, they both mad doctors with sleep deprivation who LOOOOVE their women. I admit Faust VIII was an inspiration when I first created my Singing Surgeon, but when you really get right down to it, Ryan and Faust here are too different to really compare. For example, Faust VIII had skeletons (revived through Necromancy) and his ol' lady do his dirty work for him, while Dr. Ryan would much rather do all his own fighting. Ryan likes getting down and dirty.
Noctem Aeturnus > Gremlins (Gremlins) I guess being photosensitive and having crinkly ears makes him a Gremlin, huh? I will say this though: Once Noctem and Monique are married, Noctem will be able to eat after midnight ALL HE WANTS...but isn't it ALWAYS after midnight anyway? For the record, he was inspired by Blix from the movie Legend
The Dead Queen > Morrigan Aensland (DarkStalkers) So, having wings on your head makes you a succubus from a popular fighting game franchise? I guess that would apply to every other avatar over on GaiaOnline too, amiright?
Misery > Storm (X-Men) I can see the similarites here, but it was purely unintentional. I swear, because of so many people pointing out the similarities, I'ma NOW have to redesign the outfit Misery's had for over 10 YEARS and give her her old wings back.

I lost it at the Gremlins. XD I've been watching that movie since I was five, so those little creatures are permanently in my memory. I see no resemblance with your character.

Ihad a Gizmo figure when I was little that I coloured all over in blue ballpoint that I repainted. I don't know where he is now, but when I find him, I'm repainting him again, this time I plan to take him apart in order to do it.
How Labyrinth? I can see Noctem wearing tight pants and singing "Magick Dance" now though.

I still have my Gizmo statue and plushie, and a figurine of Stripe, which I got when I was like 5 or 6. (People thought me odd for not picking out the Barbie doll ._.; )
He kind of reminds me of those orange creatures that sang "We Didn't Start the Fire." (I think that's the song) The ones who would take off their heads and throw them around. XD I don't know why; I think it's the nose.

Damn, I always wanted some figures of the actual Gremlins, but I could never find them, not ever when Gremlins 2 came out.
And if it makes you feel any better, I picked She-Ra over Barbie.
Oh lord! It wasn't "We Didn't Start The Fire (although it would be funny if the had)." The actual song was called "Chilly Down."
I see what you mean abut Noctem though, although Legend was my inspiration along with "Shadow People" phenomenon.

So much similarities between characters. I've to say Dr. Ryan is hard to compare. Unique.
Except about Noctem, the others seems to similarities by little elements and appearance like you said. Not in essence. E.g Misery who has a stronger presence that Storm.
Another example, a lot of people who read "Clan of the Cats" will say that Chelsea Chattan really looks too much like Rogue from Marvel Comics. But since the author mentioned it already...
At least they didn't compared the doctor with the gremlin for his teeth...

I think Ryan's been compared to Gluttony from FMA because of his teeth, which is ironic as Hell given a plot element from NeverRealms. ^.^;

>_> Don't redesign Misery's outfit damnit. Seriously. =__= I think it's rude when people assume that you were inspired by whatever. OR If they keep going on and on about "Oh this character looks so much like so-n-so!" >__< Please don't redesign her outfit. I think it's lovely, and there aren't really that many similarities to count between the characters. Some people just need to stfu.
I am impressed that Noctem Aeturnus was inspired by Blix though. Blix is OMG ugly, but absolutely awesome. (Well, up until he lets the power go to his head. xD; Whoops.)

I'm thinking about not redesigning the outfit and just giving her some wings (she's had wings almost ever since I created her at 11. I don't know why I got rid of them). Her outfit is supposed to be more along the lines of Madelyne Pryor/The Goblin Queen's albeit more conservative with not midriff being show.
And then after he and Pox catch the unicorn, they disappear for the rest of the movie. Am I weird for actually finding Blix attractive? O.O;

- Blix was badass, so great inspiration! Awesome movie as well...Noctem is very very awesome and a fascinating creature. I do adore him very much <3
- Dead Queen looks far more cooler than Morrigan I think. I never used her to fight I always used Felicia and I agree, bat wings on the head...pssh I had some but I never wore them >XD
- I do like Miserys costume, and I can't wait to see a full body picture of her. F*ck Storm.

I've been meaning to do a fantard meme as well. I posted a picture of my GMs character once on my old DA account before i deactivated it and I got SO many comments saying
"He looks like "insert stupid name" from Naurto!"
Just cause he has long blackhair with red tips and pale skin..and dresses in black..and my boyfriends little sister (who's a HUUUGE Bleach fan now) compares any big breasted character of mine, to a BB character of theirs. UGH mine are better!! ((Or so I like to think))
I think you should keep your characters as they are, if you ever had the thought to change em DUN DO ET!

Man, I would blow a FUCKING VEIN if someone compared one of my OCs to something from Naruto or Bleach (since I despise both with a passion despite being a former Naruto fan...before the fangirls killed it). Seriously, the only good thing that came out of Bleach is "Leek Spin." Other than that, I really see Bleach as nothing more than a watered down Yu Yu Hakusho clone. --;

Mhmmm I agree with the watered down-ness...but I compared it more to Dragon Ball Z.
Ugh the little sister bugs me so much with questions I care not to answer! AND NOW!! She's trying to learn Japanese as well. (How annoying is that, the BAD Japanese that fan girls do. Drives me insane she does...well at least she's also getting into Final Fantasy. That's good for her health.

Ugh...DragonballZ. I used to be a fan of DBZ way back when, now I just look back on it and find it a bit...redundant and kind of sexist. Not to mention Akria Toriyama wanted to finish up the storyline with the "Cell Saga" but his publishers kept wanting more stories, and when the manga ended we got DBGT instead. >.<;
I can't remember the name. I don't like Bleach.

I enjoy watching Dragon Ball Z Abridged thats for sure..its pretty funny...cause most of their stuff is about dead on right. I will agree though it is very repetitive! DBZ was the best show when I was like..12 or 15, and before 12 was Sailor Moon <3
I hardly even want to bring my drawings and art to that house anymore because of it. When I do, I'm rather secretive about it or wait until the kid goes to bed cause I always get
"Hey can you draw me
An my reply always was: "You have cash?" or "Please! Do not shame me by making me draw that!"
...than I'd get an evil glare from the boyfriend cause its his sister...blah blah blah. Than I'd explain that I would prefer to create my own characters and my style, cause if I started doing fan art than my style changes. So I'd rather not, I'm already having a hard enough time redrawing my OWN characters over and over again.
I get that a lot, Evelyn used to not be cute though when I first started playing that game.

I actually prefer the SailorMoon over the anime. The manga was darker, more adult and most of all it moved faster and the art was prettier! Manga Fox has the original Tokyopop translation if you wanna read.
At least you have little kids interested in your drawing for them. I just have my mom's boyfriend's son, who's well...a little shit who really likes to test people and is a bully in the making. ¬.¬

I always have people trying to get me to draw things that wouldn't benefit me, and they always think they can get it for free. I hardly make drawings for people in my town because I always ask for money and I rarely do gifts lol unless I am in the mood ^_^ (Like Dr. Ryan

Yeah, the anime was a bit more "adult" (by American standards) and it was toned down alot. Also, the dialogue was Americanized and some scenes were 'flipped' so it looked like people driving were dricing well, on the American side.
WTF? That's what Xerox is for! >.<;
I used to have that problem until I started making them pay. That and people think I'm "weird" because I don't draw houses, boats, or landscapes. >.>;

Trains are pretty nice..although I bet you have more things to do than my town -- the only fun you can have is either going out to the cottage or going to the bar to get drunk and play pool. More or less get drunk... grr.

Maaaaybe I should have kept Misery's eyes red (but then people would be comparing her to Gambit). And actually, her hair was inspired by Lady Death is more a silver with a pale blue gradient in it. But yeah, I see the similarities and the gal's getting her wings back (albeit some revisions) and a new outfit. ^.^;
