Description "Love is patient..." goes the old adage. A quality Kim is learning first hand as her and her fiance Ron try to decide on a honeymoon destination. KP has allusions of romance in a far off exotic place while Ron has discovered gaudy tourism at its finest. Anyone who has gone through this can definitely relate.

Thanks for the input on this installment of my wedding series it was appreciated.

Enjoy.

I see what you did there. Launchpad was a Character from an older Disney cartoon that came on the Disney Afternoon cartoon block. He was a pilot. Nice touch to harken back to another time, plus this timeless treasure from my later childhood years.

Never been through it, but I'd go the romantic rout myself. You're married, you're looking for a fun time, why do something educational? Ron can be so dense at times. I may never forget his reaction in the valentine's episode of season four.

Paris is overrated. Now, the World's Largest Ball of Twine, that's something to write home about.

I'm with Ron on this one.

Kim wants to go to these cities for the romance factor. In Ron's eyes, it doesn't matter that they've been there before on a mission, it's just that THEY'VE BEEN THERE ALREADY! They've seen the cities. Let them go someplace they've never been...

Good luck to both!

This is one of your funniest pieces, and perhaps truest to the spirit and typical atmosphere of the TV series. Another great addition to your own extensive and growing KP 'canon'!

Ron simply hasn't got any aesthetic taste. He has many good qualities but good taste isn't wone of them. One day, he will learn that Kim understands these things better than he does. However, it does not seem to be this day.

Of course all she has to do is whisper a few words in his ear. And Ron will become putty in her hands.

I thought that all women knew this. It's in that book that their mothers have them commit to memory.

After all their escapades, and all their travels, the question is do they want to go someplace that they wanted to go back to, or to someplace new? Do they want a standard tourist trap, or off the beaten path.

A lovely picture, very much in the style of the show. It's perfect, really.

Ah, Kim, you're experiences the joys and (in this rare case) tribulations of married life, even when choosing a honeymoon destination.

In fact, I can picture the convo:

K: Ron, why do you want to go to Branson, Missouri or Pigeon Forge, Tennesee? There's nothing there.

R: But KP, there's adventure there with rock-climbing and in Branson, there are country shows....KP, Country Shows!!!!!!!!! And we can save a whole lotta money!!!

K: Please, Ron, I don't want to be in Humiliation Nation on our first honeymoon? Why not Paris or London for once, and not on a mission? (makes the dreaded Puppydog Pout)

R: Ungghhh.......can't ....... resist .... PDP......ughhh okay KP, you win, London it is. *groaning*

Thanks and God Bless as always

They have country shows in Branson too? They have Dixie Stampede over in Pigeon Forge and they act as if it's on the same level as Les Miserables...only with dirt and horses.

You and AlterEgo hit it on the head to a T.

Ron's perspective:
"Aww c'mon Kim, we go to exotic places all the time, can't we just play it simple for once?"

Kim's perspective:
"We always go to exotic places on mission-business, I just want to go there for fun at least once and just enjoy the sites without having to jump out of an exploding building or saving a VIP to do so."

tough argument.

But I side with Kim on this one, although the way you drew her makes it look like she's crying

hotrod2001 In reply to AlterEgo911 [2010-02-21 04:34:35 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I originally had her with that dark little cloud that you see in comic strips symbolizing anger but you couldn't really make it out too well with the background.

Then again if you ever had a significant other suggest going to Gatlinburg for a romantic weekend you'd be crying too. (That rockslide on I-40 apparently has a perk afterall) lol.

Uh, Ron, unless you want to spend your honeymoon sleeping on the couch in the hotel lobby, you'd better give the lady the honeymoon she wants. Love may be based on a foundation of compromise, but the wedding is all about what the bride wants.
