Great shot Hougaard, love the lighting and the incoming cloud cover. Do you mind telling me how you got there? Did you camp, or did you use the Sentinel Car Park and walked there before sunrise? Going to Drakensberge in 2 weeks, and would maybe like to go there, would appreciate your feedback...

Heading up to the Amphitheatre for around a week, in about 2 weeks time - and I see there's snow predicted which could be good or bad I suppose...

Have you hiked there or in snow before? The chain ladder route has parts that are in shade all year which includes a section of rock scree or two that freeze up and can be quite nerve wrecking. Have at least an ice axe... That's what I was told by my friend who's hiked the berg from a-z and hikes there at least 20 times a year!

Shot for the advice. Looks like the snow prediction has faded tho. Did you shoot anything from the witches viewpoint around 1km up from the sentinel carpark? Thinking of doing a sunrise shoot there before heading up to the top.

haven't but definitely an awesome spot with those spires! I just don't want to imagine how bloody cold it's gonna be as I was there in November and it was below freezing at the top.
Judging from Mark's images it's still flippin green which is cool! I'm going to Sehlabathebe again in June
