Before you comment: Yes I know what Team Galactic's true motives were. It's "World Domination" for comedic effect. This is also really old. I don't plan on redoing it. Please stop pointing this out, I know.EDIT: Holy CRAP. THIS is my most popular deviation? Wooooah. 50 downloads at the time, 80+ favorites and over 100 comments mostly all good. Thanks a lot guys it means a lot to me!
I've been meaning to do this for awhile. I've had the idea in my head for a week but never got around to doing it. Anyways, this is prettymuch all the Pokemon teams in a nutshell and their motives.
Team Rocket. Ah the good ol' classic villian. Wanting to use Pokemon to dominate the world. The original and most liked team of all in most peoples opinions.
Team Magma and Aqua. The old rivalry of the Hoenn region. More land, more water. I found the rivalry between the two teams very amusing and always thought this is what they did when one grunt met another gurnt from the opposing team.
Oh Team Galactic. Your motives are just recycled from Team Rocket's, your names are virtually the same, and you're just an overall Mary Sue.
The PETA of the Unova region. With strange motives I would've never thought to be in a Pokemon game, Team Plasma is more like a cult in my opinion. Their leader, N, is very...strange to say the least.

Team Galactic actually wanted to creat a new dimension with similar motives to Team Flare. They wanted a new place with just them. Team Flare just decided it was too much work making a new world and decided to just kill everyone else

I only liked the first two/three: Team Rocket was awesome in the games; in enjoyed Aqua and Magma as they realized they screwed up. The others just bore me ESPECIALLY team Flare - easy and not that interesting - they just don't have style.Β

Got something interesting to say about the Villain Teams in PokΓ©mon. In the first 2 Generations, Team Rocket is basically the Mafia, they are motivated by gaining Wealth and Power. But starting in Gen 3, You have Aqua and Magma, who have higher goals than Team Rocket and are willing to do the Extremes to achieve it, including using the Earth Changing Powers of the Legendary PokΓ©mon and Killing Allot of People in the Process. This got me thinking, then I looked at the Real World, when Gen 3 came out, the War on Terror was big on the News, dose this mean Team Aqua and Magma are inspired by Real World Terrorism. It didn't stop there, in Gen 4 Team Galactic wanted to Recreate the Universe by using the Godlike Powers of the Legendary PokΓ©mon. And in Gen 5, Team Plasma is basically PETA, ALF, ARM, and other Extremist Animal Rights groups (it is worth a note that PETA did protest PokΓ©mon before), also the Team Plasma Leader turns out to have Ulterior Motives and is only using PokΓ©mon Rights as a front, this could also be a Metaphor for fears that our own Leadership having Ulterior Motives in anything they do. And in Gen 6, Team Flare's goals is just simply Mass Genocide. Basically with the PokΓ©mon Villain Teams from Gen 3 and up, it is Art Imitating Life and the Bad Guys your are fighting with PokΓ©mon are Terrorists

It all started when I was a total Pokemon n00b... I started playing the Diamond version, and sometimes I'd watch the anime... despite Team Galactic's differences from Team Rocket, I thought that Galactic was the same team as Rocket!
