And here it is, finally time to put this one to rest. I had a lot of fun working on it.The full-res shot is HUGE so I might post some detail shots later on. (I went kind of crazy doing some of the little details)
Adam Jensen, the protagonist of Deus Ex: Human Revolution, from Eidos Montreal. (Incredible game; play it if you haven't done so already).
This painting was done over the course of a few days, a few hours each day. If I had to total it up, I would guess at about 8-10 hours, from ideation to completion.

You know....I have NEVER used Typhoon in the game. At least not yet. I haven't beat it yet, but I have like 10 Praxis kits available. I just never think i'm going to need to use typhoon.

Well I loved realism and badass-ness before I discovered Dan's work, but he helped define it as a genre of art....so now pores, blood, smoke, and bullet holes are considered his thing.

Thanks! and same here. Well....actually I bought the game one release day back in August 2011 (Or shall I say "Aug 2011"? ;D) and never beat it because Dead Island came out and stole my attention. So I recently restarted it, and am loving every minute.

Yeah, the game totally rules. I've beat it once and beat "The Missing Link" (DLC) on hardest with 100% stealth. Felt like a boss.
I'm doing the standard game on "Deus Ex" difficulty this time 'round but not trying for total stealth, did that last time. Being a bit of a badass this time.

I swear... this seriously does not look like a painting! At first glance, it really looks like it's a still from one of the rendered sequences of video for the game, but I can still tell it's painted.
