The blinder things were part of the Enclave Deathclaws' mind control headpiece.Β They aren't on wild deathclaws.

Maybe... judging my the apparent rusting on the blinders, this could be sometime after the Aqua Pura war and that's a Deathclaw that got loose and has been living in the wild for years

That's not rusting, it matches the shades of the scales.Β The Enclave mind control helmet was a dark gunmetal quite distinct from the deathclaw's scaly hide.

It looked more like an actual part of the deathclaw instead of it being the mind control device which sat on top of the deathclaw's head and not the sides

The blinders are part of the enclave mind control implant.Β This image is inaccurate about the blinders.
What evolutionary purpose would blinders serve?Β Even apex predators need some peripheral vision to look out for rivals or prey not directly ahead in the binocular FOV.

I know how the Deathclaws actually looked which is why I was confused on why the binders looked like it was a part of it; you have to admit it does look like the artist drew it to look like a part of the Deathclaw. (It bugs me a little too trust me but its an amazing piece never the less)

Brotherhood for the win! Nice job! Only complaint would be the Deathclaw's body seems weird, and the Knight's laser pistol looks a little too small for him. Still, excellent art!
