i just beat Mass Effect (i know, im horrible), so i wanted to do a paintingi liked the first turian, Nihlus, so i decided to paint him
2 days, probably about 10 hours total
please give me your thoughts about the piece, good and bad

I think it is an excellent work. Β I like the effect of the light coming from behind him, it adds a feel of both drama and realism. Β It is kind of odd how he's positioned, those crazy Turian head-spikes are barely noticeable, but I suppose that draws attention to his face. Β It's really interesting how chaotic and busy the air around him is, while he is so still and intently thoughtful looking.

this is really wonderful. the only drawback at all is that his eyes are very green in the game and the colour is dulled here, perhaps because of all of the things going on in the surrounding area.

Really?! I always thought is was face paint because his lines are so clean and elaborate while Garrus looks like he dipped a thick brush in blue paint and then traced his cheek and jaw bones with it.

"....." Fiance is watching opening scene where you first hear/see Nihlus.
Me: "Ooo?"
Fiance: "Was wondering how long it would take you to prick your ears up at this guy."
[You just got the "Ooo?" reaction out of me again when I saw this picture]
