Click for larger view!Here it is, finally finished. I had a lot of fun with this piece. Kind of want to keep working on it, but it's time to let it be done.
Entirely painted from imagination; no references used. There were a few points throughout the painting process where I wanted to look up reference for the water, but I decided to stick it out and paint it myself. I'm pretty satisfied with how it turned out.
This was a commissioned piece for a private client. Batgirl copyright DC comics.

Nicely done, but if you called this image 'Oracle' because of Babs past life, then you're wrong, blonde Batgirl is Steps, formerly the Spoiler

1st. this is a very nice piece
2nd. some reference or research might have been helpful when picking a title. The reason I say this is you titled it Oracle which was a name used by Barbara Gordan, the first Batgirl prior to being shot in the Spine by the Joker 20 years ago during The Killing Joke. The woman you drew is not Barbara Gordan, we know this because she is blond where one of Barbara's signature style notes is her red hair. Also this style costume is used by Stephanie Brown, formerly The Spoiler and the 4th Robin (the stripes on the side were eggplant in color as a call back to her time as Spoiler)...One of Steph's signature style notes is her blond hair.
In summation, it is a very nice piece that a person with a passing knowledge of Pop Culture would recognize as Batgirl but any Comic fan that can tell you the difference between Babs, Cass and Steph can see the errors.

2nd. In the alternate "history" that I decided to illustrate here, Barbara Gordon developed a better sense of style and dyed her hair blonde and used a more original costume.

you can't just make up your own DC canon and expect anyone to buy that.
