Wow, good job on him, you really captured the likeness. His head looks like it was in 3D !
I saw all Chukies movies, they were scary but I was even more scared by Stephen King 's "It" .

Many thanks my friend!!Yeah,I have to agree,it was more scarier than Chucky.I'd probably kick Chucky across a room if he was real and came trying to kill me,lol.Pennywise the clown would make a great drawing,I might do that one day

You're welcome.
...I agree Chucky will be easier to handle than IT. Well, that one scared me so much, I am not sure if I wish to see you drawing him, I fear that you will get the likeness too well. Oh well...maybe I will have to create a special folder for him. Say, an "Open at Your Own Risk" folder.

HahaOpen at your own risk folder, haha
Maybe I will have to draw IT now,see how it goes, thanks!!
You've given me a new idea of what to draw, sometimes I run out of things in my mind

That was some scary stuff for that time. Wow, I am sure you can draw him, hope he won't give you nightmares though. I saw also Cujo (read the book too) but it was never as scary as IT was.

thats been my whole problem i spend to much on my own work,i learnt heaps about perspective today, stuff that i really didn't know,it's like learning all over again.

HoustonTxArtist In reply to MrTristanOne [2012-02-22 01:55:23 +0000 UTC]
I bet it was really fun learning that stuff though,I wish I knew more about perspective,I always run into major troubles in that

MrTristanOne In reply to HoustonTxArtist [2012-02-22 10:45:59 +0000 UTC]
Dont worry man, perspective drawing is the only cool thing i learnt,i just dropped out of graphic design school because they failed to tell me i had to be advanced at computers, and thats theres very little drawing or painting invovled in my course,i lasted 3 days cos i dont want to fuck around with computers i just wanna draw.perspective gets confusing sometimes.

man i hate all this technology crap, you buy software and the next better version comes out the next day.
I'm only sticking to traditional media after my three days in graphics school.
I don't think i will join anymore art schools after all the stories i'm hearing.I went to another art school when i was 18 it nearly turned me off art for good,my teacher could of been mistaken for satan,it was horrible i hated it.And i hated my graphics course which was 11 years after.

Right?!One day,the new touchscreen fancy things come out,the next month a newer version comes out. It's impossible to keep up,haha.I am pretty outdated for what's high tech now,I can barely use a damn computer, lol.Man,I hear you about the art school, here in the states,I've heard Texas doesn't have very great art schools, the best one is in Pittsburg if I'm not mistaken.I'm not sure if art school is even for me,I would probably learn some great stuff, but stuff I could learn on my own over time.Hey,your artwork is great man,you don't even need art school
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
MrTristanOne In reply to HoustonTxArtist [2012-03-01 12:18:15 +0000 UTC]
i mainly want to go to art school to get a diploma or a qualification,i don't think there's alot more to learn although i think theres probably a whole world of things to learn,i have never been to texas or been anywhere overseas but i have been told to make in art i must leave australia and take a gamble,i'm not a gambler.
I like digital art but software becomes out of date very quick,i'm bloody hopeless at tech shit,i was told in graphic design course by my lecture that iam computer illiterate which made me think twice about continuing on with digital art.
thanks for the kind words, i can be thankful that people such as yourself enjoy my work!

HoustonTxArtist In reply to MrTristanOne [2012-03-02 12:01:26 +0000 UTC]
Yeah,I'm not a gambler either man, haha,I'm unluckyMan,I wouldn't even listen to anyone else,if you want to do digital art,I say do it man!I know you can,I've already seen it
But,if you don't wish to pursue the digital art,I don't blame you,I still haven't begun to learn the first thing about it.I can pick up a pencil...if I had to work with anything else,I'm screwed, haha

MrTristanOne In reply to HoustonTxArtist [2012-03-02 13:13:11 +0000 UTC]
i think drawing and painting traditionally is the best,i love sitting at my drawing board creating having my nose an inch away from the paper with a brush creating detail, digital is kinda fake i think.
Your good with pencil thats your thing,i speak to many artist who just work with pencil, hey nothing wrong with that,i think i told you about the guy who won a major award just doing pencil portraits.

HoustonTxArtist In reply to MrTristanOne [2012-03-05 04:59:47 +0000 UTC]
Yeah,I have to agree, digital is fun and the artwork is great and all,but just not the same as traditional.Traditional is more of the real thing to me,there is no ctrl-z or undo in traditional art.I must admit,I love working with pencils,my life long hobby. Some people don't appreciate pencil and graphite art as much, but I still think it is a great art form, just no colors, hahaHopefully soon I can get into painting,or something of that nature.Digital art,I like, but I don't think I'll ever really get into it too much, not nearly as much as traditional.

I have two minds o digital art a part of me wants to do it,another says this isn't real,i manly want to do digital cos there is no mess involved, to paint you must have a studio to hire cos in my case i have destroyed my perants with paint stains,it looks awful.
Thats the downfull on graphite there is no colour, but hey there is coloured pencils which i have seen some wonderful coloured pencil stuff on da!
I have friends on da who only like traditional art,i have one guy that when i do digital he says to me "why did you paint a lie"

HoustonTxArtist In reply to MrTristanOne [2012-03-09 04:21:34 +0000 UTC]
I agree with you completely,I'm on the fence about digital art,I would love to be able to do something digital, but the amount of time it would take to learn...it would be a learning process all over,I don't mind that, but I'm still trying to learn traditional.Color pencils I have had problems with,I do admit,I am having a easier time with colors, but I still for some reason see things black and white,as a pencil drawing, haha

MrTristanOne In reply to HoustonTxArtist [2012-03-10 05:44:48 +0000 UTC]
coloured pencils are considered a painting medium, there are many tricks with coloured pencil like burnishing, and melting the wax with turps or metho?i can't remember which one,i love black and white art i think you do it so well, keep with it,cos coloured paint is very messy, this is why i'm exploring digital.

HoustonTxArtist In reply to MrTristanOne [2012-03-10 06:00:34 +0000 UTC]
You know,I haven't thought of that yet, excellent idea!!I will have to try melting some, see how it goes.I have a small set of watercolor pencils,I've noticed the color pops out way more when they are dipped in small amount of water

MrTristanOne In reply to HoustonTxArtist [2012-03-10 06:48:06 +0000 UTC]
you can use copic colourless blender to do the same thing but the copic marker runs out quick,i was told watercolour pencils are better to use than using metho and wax pencils

HoustonTxArtist In reply to MrTristanOne [2012-03-11 04:47:35 +0000 UTC]
I've heard of Copic markers,I've always wanted to use them, try them out,but the hobby stores in my area don't sell copics,I'm thinking of looking it up on Ebay and see if I can find a set soon

i bought some copics i'm not happy with them i find the colours to dull for my liking, though manga artist seem to love em.Copics are pretty pricey.

Yeah, that's what I found out about Copics, they're a little too expensive right now for me,hahaI've seen a lot of magna artists use them, always wondered how good they were, now that you tell me they're pretty dull,I might stay away from the Copics.I wish I could get into some color,I tried color pencils, but they're hard to make look good, haha

MrTristanOne In reply to HoustonTxArtist [2012-04-04 04:05:12 +0000 UTC]
yes about a week ago i tried my hand at coloured pencils and i struggled big time, people don't realize that colour pencils is more like painting than drawing.
I really don't like copics i bought about 20 of them and i can't do anything decent with them,i find them dull, when i use them it looks like a child as used them!!
I'm really trying hard at digital painting at the momment,i always give up on digital i think i should give trad painting a rest for a while and focus on digital painting only cos of the fact it's seem i have to keep up ,i think digital is going to really take over and i don't want be left behind, though i still love trad media

I know what you mean completely,I think the same thing, digital will be the next huge thing, everyone's starting to do it,I wish I knew how to even start, hahaI would like to get Photoshop soon to experiment a little with it,but I don't think I'll be any good at digital,I'm horrible with computers hahaha
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
MrTristanOne In reply to HoustonTxArtist [2012-04-04 10:31:13 +0000 UTC]
i think when i do digital i spend alot of time just learning how to paint i try not to worry about layers and technical issues,i think with digital thats what i wanna do just paint not copy and paste images, to me thats fake i just want to do what i was doing only in digital medium.
I'm also horrible with computers thats why i dropped ouy of graphic design school but all you can do is experiment, Lots of digital artist started off computer phobic and turned out to be pro's at it!!

I'm slowly experimenting with small programs,I have an app from Google,it's pretty cool,it's called Sumo paint,I'm learning the basics from that for now,I just a few days ago found out about layers and changing some of the settingsI am a long way from being able to do anything good,I hate it man, hahaha
