Name:
Rukwati
Meaning:
Referencing Lake Rukwa in Tanzania
Age:
[6-20β18] Cub, 3 months old
[7-20-18] Teen
Gender:
Female
Sexual orientation:
Unknown
Pride:
Onuris
Appearance:
A female with fluff on her cranium which is lighter than the rest of her light pelt. Darker ears and a darker tail, orange eyes. She heavily resembles her brother, differentiating in only eye color and tone of ears and tail. Her forelegs are thick, and so was the rest of her fur on her body before it thinned out with the heat of the desert. Perhaps this points to mountain-origins.
Personality:
Positive:
She is very playful and doesn't mind spending time in groups.
She tries very hard to abide to her motherβs regulations.
A rambunctious cub who is fiercely protective of her siblings.
Neutral:
This cub hates to be alone and has attachment issues, she rather always be in the company of someone whether it be her brother, her sister, or her mother or even a friend.
The cub is weary of strangers and may be considered a tattle-tail.
Negative
Rukwati is an aloof cub who spends her focus on bugs and snakes rather than other lions.
She seems to have trouble spending time with others, and when directed to in a conversation she would rather avoid eye contact and change subjects to something she is more interested in. She can raise a tantrum if she gets frustrated and is hard to calm down.
Backstory:
None know where the trio of cubs came from, all anyone knows is that there were three on the border of Onuris, mewling and looking about with eyes that resembled varying hues of a sunset. As this was during the time of drought, Onuris had enough to deal with and taking in a litter of three would be very draining on the resources. There was already a new cub that had been found as of recent.
Massika, an Onuris lioness, stepped up and volunteered to raise them as a mother. She longed for a family and could not bear to see three healthy cubs waste away. She approached the Chief and requested and argued, and finally was allowed to adopt them.
Rukwati flourished. She blends well with the desert and her light pelt reflects heat well. Being raised in a time of drought, she has no idea of how the land could flourish or how the pride is struggling, it is normal to her.
