So, Iβm a fan of the realism they used in TLK2019, and I wanted to show how very different and non realistic the colors appear on a cartoon character vs the cgi. In my opinion they could have given themselves some more artistic creativity on the models in way of fur color and facial structure... but it was good, and different.Anywhoodle here is is simba from before and simba no. I color dropped both sets of colors from day time scenes in the movies, and the 2019 colors are the same that I used on this piece: www.deviantart.com/howikin/artβ¦

Not sure what you mean, are you meaning why haven't I done the other characters from the movie? Because I don't draw a lot of canon fan art, I felt like doing this one but it's not going to be a series or anythingΒ

Nice redesign! I think the more realistic version would have been inconvenient for the frame-by-frame hand-drawn 2d animation they used for the original.
