Description
A Wolf with snow on his noseMy mom told me the wolf looked as if he was a friend.
I was trying to portray once more the softer side of the wolf. I hate seeing people making them appear savage and these killing machines. There shouldn't be all this misunderstanding.
Took alittle less than an hour

This one doesn't look savage actually looks so much like my Atka! He has little white spots above his eyes though. I like this one a lot

Atka is a mutt but mostly husky I think. Maybe some wolf and german shepherd. Someone around here breeds and rescues wolf hybrids but I got him from the Humane Society so I'm not exactly sure what he is. Atka means Silent Guardian. He's a very cool dog.

Really? Thats really cool. I'd like to adopt a wolf hybrid once I get older to be honest.
Do you have any pictures of him?
In what language does his name mean that? Its really cool. Is he as protective as his name portrays?

I don't have a good picture on hand but I will try to find one. My Mac is sick and all of the pictures on there are just waiting to be rescued. I will take a picture of Atka if I don't have one on this computer though. Atka is an Eskimo name and he is very quiet and very protective to a point. Ghostlike. I doubt he would ever attack anyone but he is always standing on higher ground watching and going before me when I walk in the woods. He was 2 when I got him and someone may have beaten him because he is shy of certain things like if you are carrying something- a stick or whatever. He is a beautiful dog and very affectionate. However I would not get a wolf hybrid knowingly. They really aren't trustworthy pets as their instincts are so strong. I don't encourage people to breed them. A rescue situation on the other hand...

Rescue is what I meant by adopt.
He sounds like a great companion I must say. It's a shame that he was treated that way though. I hate to hear when people do that to animals, it's cruel and immoral. I'll never be able to fully understand my race :/

Did you see National Geographic where they have domesticated fox over a very long time and they are genetically like dogs and may be available to the public as pets? Thought that was awesome esp. because originally they were kept for their fur and now they are cool pets. Any misgivings I may have about them is nothing compared to the cuteness factor! Could you imagine? lol

No I don't think I have seen that, but that's amazing!! They are extremely adorable. With them more domesticated, people will learn to appreciate them more. Sometimes I just wish the public could appreciate them while they are in their natural environment though. But I love how they are stepping away from getting them for their fur and showing the public that they can be gentle and lovable

Well at least people will be trying to befriend them than trying to kill them. So there is a bright side to it, haha. Seriously? Im gonna look them up on google then
