A sad wolf, I put alot of thought into this piece. Decided to reflect my mood into the emotion of one of my piecesUsed Mechanical Pencil

Oh nice! You are practicing sadow and fur. It looks very good! Just the legs.. they are anatomically correct, but they lack the detail you put into the rest of the wolf.
One thing you can do also as a tip, is smudge/blend a little of the fur, like you did on the back of his neck. But do it on his head too, then take a knife and make a sharp tip on your eraser, and add random white "hairs" to his fur with the eraser. This will make the fur look more in depth. Other than that great job!

And I see what you mean. I guess I got over excited about how well the piece was turning out that I didn't look at the whole picture. I'll try to remember to keep the amount of detail consistent through the piece.
I've never heard about the knife/eraser trick...Thank you soo much for the tip!! I will definitely have to try it out!

It comes in handy if you dont have a kneaded eraser. (an ereaser that you can mold like play-doh.) I have used my nails to tear a point onto a regular eraser to make a point on it to add details. Dont be disappointed though. That wolf looks good, especially the face and you can tell you put a decent amount of work into it. So you have plenty to be excited about. ^^
