February Monthly Community Challenge: Love.
We’re not talking about who or what your character loves, but their perception of love. How do they feel about love?

To Vashti, the idea of love is a beautiful thing. The reality of it, however, is hardly worth effort. The things and people she's loved have always been lost. Eventually, she would also be lost to anyone who might come to love her. Like light, like shadow, love would come and go and in its absence there was pain. More pain than her body could hold.
For now at least, she has turned her back on the reality of the thing and committed her heart to the memory of those she's lost, only ever looking over her shoulder to admire the idea of love and nothing more.

Activity Check
Something within her had changed after Loch’s death. With the loss of him, she’d lost all desire to remain close to the grave of the family she knew. Loch was not among them and now that his corpse had been committed to the earth by the wolves of Skydas and his mother had gone missing, she found it hard to feel comfortable. Something needed to change and Vashti was not without an idea that could give her life some purpose beyond loss and longing.
