I have no idea how anyone knows the type of their PokΓ©mon, as the PokΓ©dex lists only stuff like where you can find them (useful if you need one), their cry (useless) and a bunch of other useless trivia.Related content

i think it may list type in the more recent games...
oh and the Dex DOES know the types, since it has the search by type function (whether it tells you is a completely different matter)

if you can't remember if you have anything good of a certain type, it comes in handy...
(i can't remember what pokemon i have half the time because i have so damn many on all the games XD)

Lol, I still remember I beat the Elite Four for the first time with a Haunter named Terry Ball (okay, I was like 10 at the time, sorry about the TERRIBLE pun, and it WAS a ball, as a Gastly). Or maybe it was the Pidgeot, these were the two times I remember very well, I had that pidgeot in like 85's at the end. This was still the time I trained only one PokΓ©mon ever, despite having a full team, so that one was my hit mon... get it? hit mon?

I've always been strategic with the elite four... (but then again, i had the strategy guide for silver XD)
I have a bad habit of looking up my opponent's info before going against them... just so that i can beat them as efficiently as possible (pretty much the only opponent to ever outmaneuver me when i came prepared was Cynthia in platinum... and that's just because you really can't prepare for a spiritomb

yup
you had to talk 128 times while underground (or was it 64...), and there were NO NPCS underground, so you had to have someone else in the underground with you to talk enough times
