Description Current Guidelines I intend to follow in the comic:
  • Format
    • Strict screen-shot sized panels
    • Non-strict sprite placement
    • Speech balloons (unordered)
    • No fourth wall breakage
    • Four panels (six in some cases)
    • Keeping a natural comic style (no stuff like "MAX obtained this and that!" "WHO THE HELL SAID THAT" or "Press START" "What?")
    • Graphics
    • Overworld graphics from Gold/Silver; put together in Graphics Gale or cut up from maps from vgmaps.com
    • Front sprites from G/S, depending on situation
    • PokΒ΄mon backsprites from Black/White
    • Battles have a pseudo-3D effect; attacks drawn, not sprited
    • Character sprites from G/S; ripped using my self-written program; altered to show emotions
  • Story
    • Follows Gold & Silver, mostly
    • SPOILER: Yep, MAX will get a female companion.

    Oh I thought you meant as in, you would draw out the battles, like pencil to paper y'know. These battles are cool anyway though.

    Yeah, the current style is what I called Pseudo-3D. It doesn't match anything I've seen so far, comics or not, so I thought I'd go with that. I'm glad you like it. The comic seems to be stalled for a while now, but it's just because I have lots to do, like exams and earning some cash through my language skills ^_^

    Ahhh I see. Yeah I like it, and sucks that it's stalled, but I suppose you should focus on exams and stuff. Language skills are good, I'm trying to learn Japanese, but badly failing. What languages do you know?

    Oh, and I am trying to learn Japanese as well. Current progress is several words, some basic rules and kinda reading of katakana (I found two awesome cheat sheets for katakana and hiragana, and learned some of the kana from them). But yeah, travelling a lot helps.

    I bought "Japanese for Dummies" and "Japanese Phrases for Dummies", but it doesn't teach the katakana and stuff, so I've been learning off a website.
