Description Well, that was quick! Shortly after I completed James, I reused his model to make Edward the Blue Engine (L4402). Because of the 18 stud length, there was the issue as to whether he'd end up an 0-6-0 or a 2-4-0. I went with the latter as it's closer to his actual wheel arrangement in the show. (Better than being an 0-4-0, am I right? ) Still looks a bit squashed, but what can you do? Especially since his cab is larger than James' and his boiler a bit shorter.

Despite the issue with scaling things properly, I'm pretty pleased with the result.

You're welcome. Surprisingly, I never could find the drivers on LDD.

Why not?

Mostly because it's nowhere to be found in the LDD I have.

Yep. Bit of a shame about his front bogey though.

Despite the inaccurate front bogey, you have captured the essence of the first Railway Series character, and one of the easier characters to do would be Toby since he’s just a wooden box

But Toby has some wood detail which defines his character.

Which is easy, just use some 1x3 and 1x4 tiles with the wood printing as well as the corrugated 1x2 brick for details. But the easiest would be the minifigs

They might be a bit smaller than the engines themselves.

Just make them normal scaled gigs, I tried making my own range of LEGO Thomas which would be a sub theme of their Trains line.

Best to make some rolling stock like A & C, a few trucks and a brakevan, maybe some other coaches as well
