Description
Even though a comment made on the preview clip for Whale of a Tale generated controversy and, dare I say it, hatred amongst the fans which led to some lynching the commenter, there is some truth in his initial comment - James has been out of scale since Hero of the Rails, and yet very few people are bothered by it. Oliver, however, is smaller than Duck, and everyone complains about that! Honestly, what the hell is the bloody point of complaining over an out of scale render that should not be a huge factor in the episode?! A render is a render, period! I don't care if anyone is out of scale just as long as the story is important!Thomas and Friends (C) Hit Entertainment and Mattel

The Thomas Fandom "Oh Duck too big and he talks about the great western all time get rid of him. Oh Oliver he so small he looks like a Narrow Gauge Engine and he and Duck appear too much get rid of him too" Oh shut the fuck up how about they get rid of Henry huh. I swear there something wrong with this fandom, the fact that they wanted Duck and Oliver back after so many years and then they just turn on them like they want them gone like seriously, and then you have this asshole Thomas youtuber by the name of Theunluckytug who said that Duck and Oliver are useless and don't contribute to anything in the newer episode really, and he also said he hates how Duck talks about the great western all time dude one of the earlier episodes said Duck loves to talk and boost about the great western railway it's his character don't you do your research you fucking moron. idk why so many Thomas fans like that guy he a fucking manchild complaining about everything on a show that suppose to be for kids idk. I just hate this fandom and everything about it this fandom is worse than the Sonic fandom because at least the Sonic fans don't complain about characters returning or the designs of the characters sorry if I got angry about this but this fanbase just pisses me off to no end fuck this fandom and Theunluckytug.

Could you break your comment down into smaller paragraphs? I kind of get what you're saying, but a gigantic paragraph and lack of punctuation is distracting.

Then again, they'd rather follow someone's views than actually think for themselves.

Yeah they don't think for themselves at all and he probably the reason Duck and Oliver have all the hate they have and sad thing for me is that they both where my favorite characters when I was younger ugh that guy just pisses me off.

Fucking hypocrisy from self-proclaimed "fans", good fucking god.......
This is something we sadly can't escape from and it's driving me nuts the more I look at it. Come on, Oliver may be smaller than Duck because of scale rendering but aren't the 1400 tanks smaller than the pannier tanks to begin with when they were built in reality? I think Andrew, Ian and the rest of the team took scale accuracy into regard when they developed him further on the aesthetics point unless one can correct me.
Not to mention, I honestly sometimes (in my own head) never get why James was out of scale since I first saw it in KotR (even though this was prominent since Hero of the Rails).

Yeah. It does look like the new team were following real life than the actual models.

Honestly, we're lucky we're getting quality after Sharon Miller stepped down from writing. Stuff like the Arlesdale railway is becoming canon, thanks to Brenner and Wilkinson and those self-proclaimed fans claim they know better? They should be grateful they're even allowed to see it, much less have their freedom of speech.

It's actually supposed to be phrased as:
Β James is taller than Thomas and Percy and no on bats an eye...
Duck is taller than Oliver and everyone loses their minds!

Well, to be fair, James is a big engine need I remind you. I'm sure Oliver being smaller than Duck can't be a big deal. That means he one of the great engines. I think little engines are the most important engines of all!

Besides, believe me when I say this, tank engines of British make is much better, I had gone to a heritage railway in Europe and the tank engines were HUGE! You'd think they were tender engines without any tenders!

Baldwin built some 2-6-6-2T, which actually are pretty big for tank engines. The best part is that, among the many 2-6-6-2Ts that are preserved, two are operating, and a third one is being restored.

I think I prefer British engines instead.
