The story for the is that they were created by the Diabolical Gideon, who once created cybernetic bitbeasts.
When the Cyber bitbeast project failed, due to the numerous bugs and glitches in their programming, and the constant malfunctions (and seemingly the damage suffered by their Beybladers), he abandoned the idea in favour of a new one; genetic experiments. He created a new batch of experimental bitbeasts from the genetics of those that had been gathered over a long period time; the compatible genes were combined, thus creating new beasts, with the attributes they inherited from the originals. He used multiple theories to genetically program them, altering them altering the attributes they had gained, such as type and abilities, to suit his purpose.
Then, he gave them to his latest team, Team EXON to test by entering the latest tournament, where he would gather the results, hoping to have created the ultimate bitbeasts.
