omg this is so cute! Look at it launch itself forward! I feel bad for whoever's in front of it. Hopefully it's really excited about its new scratching post--which is a carpeted item and NOT somebody's arm.

Oh, oh I hate that! It helps to actually have a piece of carpeting set aside for the kitties, I've discovered. Not a scratching post or any of that junk. A rug or a square piece of old carpet from wherever you care to get it. My cats leave everything else in the house alone and beat the royal hell out of the 5x5 foot, gnarly, ugly maroon carpet square I keep in my bedroom. It's got threads hanging out of its everywhere and strings and fluff fly about on a daily basis, but at least it's not my GOOD carpet, or my furniture.
Some cats actually need their own carpets O.o.

I did consider adding a tail but thought it would detract too much. Have you seen the Two Lumps strips? I love the way they animate Ebenezer's tail in a static frame!

One of ours occasionally gets a bit carried away, but mostly they're pretty harmless (that's probably tempting fate!).
Have you seen :dontpokekitty: by *Dumnezeu ? A friend of ours is a bit stupid when it comes to cats. He was deliberately annoying out first cat (despite warnings from us and her). Eventually she'd had enough and opened up the back of his hand. Despite the copious amount of blood he didn't get any sympathy - even his wife told him it was his fault
