I know what you mean about the eyes. I wondered about lowering them one pixels so you don't get that initial "stare", but then they might get lost behind the book. I'll play around a little to see if I can sort something out.

that might work, if they were down just one pixel...but then you would have to do it for the first part then when he looks towards the bottom of the page. o well, it would be nice to see what u tweak

Well, I tried moving the eyes down but it still had that staring look. I ended up moving the relevant bits sideways - seems to work better.

I saw the original and thought of my force persuade . I changed the colour to make the book more obvious and added the up/down eyes. Glad you like it.
