The last project this aircraft had, that I know of, was SATCOM. Satellite Communications that we all take for granted these days was pioneered using this aircraft as a test bed. At that time it was secret and top secret stuff. She had a radome on her back above the over wing hatches. I believe she may also have been an ARIA for many years. Last I heard she is in the bone yard, sad.

No sure but it looks like that tail number is 0372. Please let me know if that is wrong. I worked this great jet in the 1980's in the 4950th test wing by then it was an 'E' model
