Description
This orc warrior proudly wears the tusk of a rival hanging on his earing. To rise up the social ladder an orc must defeat his superior in combat. To be de-tusked in such a bout is a crushing humiliation for the loser as an orcs tusks are considered a symbol of both strength and virility.This was painted in PainterIX. I then used Photoshop7 to add the overlaying hand-done texture layers. These layers were simply two pages of ink splaters and a rough watery wash, done on standard paper with indian ink.
