Description
-- and I still ponder, will I make it?When another fracture tore wolves apart, with the dividing of Tundes, Credence sought comfort in isolation, cradled by the foliage around him, paws dampened from puddles. The remnants of a storm and oh, how it fit. When Osirus passed it struck Tundes like lightning.
Some cared little, some lingered in a grey area, and some mourned with the entirety of their soul. Without the braves to attend the vigil, he lacked resolution. Even if had gone, would it change how now he ruminated over his place upon this damnable island. Beneath all the loyalty for Tundes laid the sensation of not belonging. A disconnect existed, and his bitterness over the past exacerbated it until he seethed.
Of course, he spoke nary a word to anyone.
When the second divide began, Stonehaven drew him with an allure. Within the pack were ideologies, ones that lit a fire inside him.
A certainty washed over him like a rolling wave. Yes, let Tundes splinter when it hindered the action of war. Blood might spill, but to fight tooth and fang against those that reveled in magic and altered the course of the island seemed logical.
Familiar face, similar dreams. Credence turned his back for the trek to their new territory without glimpsing back.
With wings now spread, Credence felt control, lifted to a new ascendancy where no longer would he tuck his tail nor feel fear consume him.
Becoming among the wolves of Stonehaven, his ambitions twisted, altering, his focus driven elsewhere. No more pursuits of aiding wolves or gathering knowledge of medicinal herbs.
Instead, he yearned to draw the blood of his brother.
A traitor.
No longer would he hide away and slink without pride.
The road he tread upon forked, and he followed the path that would lead him to become a Keeper where he might fulfill his deepest desire: both vengeance and to push himself past all his anxieties to become a shield of Stonehaven, a guardian.
Most certainly bound to meet his brother again, the need to strike back for the pain and anguish rooted in the past became what he coveted.
Beyond that, he desired to prove himself and rise among the ranks.
The spillage of blood was the only way and his teeth are bared.
