This explains my method of making claws, it is practically a fool-proof method that I find very helpful for those whose have challenges with sculpting.

In my experience model magic is not a good material for claws or teeth because even when sealed it has a tendency to crumble or melt as soon as it gets a little wet

I've never had that issue, but it can be used with any type of clay you wish.

have you tried polymer clay (fimo) u have to oven bake for like 30 mins but it doesnt crumble as ive used it to make beads... or put a light coat of glue on to protect clay

I use epoxy sculpt and (soon) resin
