Description Tutorial on how I made the first wooden dragon model, using balsa wood and some paper parts. Have received several requests for this plus individual questions on how-to.

The techniques can be used to create a model from any dragon design and in any size or color, using basic tools and materials. And while there are some figures and toys out there of dragons, making them from scratch allows for greater creativity and variation- at the cost of materials only!

Since the subject model is 'Toothless' from HTTYD, the theme of the tutorial is "How to Carve a Dragon". Of course all of the characters are not mine but are the properties of Dreamworks Animation.

If you have any questions not covered in this tutorial, please ask!

Making a tutorial on the eastern dragon model now, that will look even more like a Ferret for a large part of the buildup.
