Description
This design was actually pretty easy for me. I've had it in my mind for ages and it was just a matter of getting it out of my brain and into a physical form.
“In the Country of the Gillikins, which is at the North of the Land of Oz, lived a youth called Tip. There was more to his name than that, for old Mombi often declared that his whole name was Tippetarius; but no one was expected to say such a long word when “Tip” would do just as well.
This boy remembered nothing of his parents, for he had been brought when quite young to be reared by the old woman known as Mombi, whose reputation, I am sorry to say, was none of the best. For the Gillikin people had reason to suspect her of indulging in magical arts, and therefore hesitated to associate with her.” - L. Frank Baum, The Marvelous Land of Oz, 1904
For my rendition of Tip I decided that all of his clothing would be made of hand-me-downs from Mombi since she probably wouldn’t waste time finding clothes for him. Everything is a bit baggy and over sized and since Mombi has him do farm work I figured it would be mostly heavy, coarse fabrics and suitable for hard labor. When Tip becomes Ozma, her eyes stay the same.
